There's no water in Durham today.
I'll drink anything put in front of me.
The night moves on in a permanent haze.
This whole world will make a fool out of me.
This whole world will make a fool out of me.
I can't see the moon.
My pain pours into this crowded room.
You can be the one who gets to look away,
and I'll be the rain.
There's a current running under my skin,
and I haven't slept since the Brighton piers.
Everyone looks so happy today.
This whole world will knock the life out of me.
This whole world will knock the life out of me.
I can't see the moon.
My pain pours into this blue-black room.
You can be the one who loves me anyway,
and I'll be the rain that falls on days electrified.
My intellect falls asleep in my mind,
and I'm so dried out I can't cry.
So I'll be the rain.
